Dolly Tubs
Dolly tubs were barrels with wooden paddles in them, a little like large butter churns. Finely crushed bouse and
water were put in them and the paddles were turned, agitating the mixture. The heavy ore settled first in the base
of the tub with the lighter waste on top.
