The Cottages
The camera passes from west to east viewing the south sie of the cottage complex. We can't be certain about the environment
in which to cotteges existed, but there were undoubtely many more of them than were uncovered in the excavation.
You can see that they were timber framed structures with thatched roofs, and were much larger than what we normally think of
as 'peasants hovels' in the medieval period.
