Yeavering Archive: Hope-Taylor's Reconstruction of the Great Hall Showing the West End

This is a photograph in Hope-Taylor's volume on Yeavering of a model of how the Great Hall may have looked at the west end. His view was that this was the simplest interpretation, but that the building may well have had external plastering and carvings.

You can find out more about the Great Hall, compare this reconstruction with Dunn's reconstruction of the Great Hall or explore the archive further.
