Navigation in Cortona
Cortona browser window is divided into two parts: 3D Window displaying the VRML model and Toolbars containing navigation tools.
The toolbars are: Vertical, specifying the navigation type, and Horizontal, controlling the pre-defined movement actions.
In addition, there is also pop-up menu, accessible by pressing the right mouse button.
Pre-defined viewpoints
To activate a viewpoint: Click the View in the horizontal toolbar and then select a viewpoint from the pre-defined list.
You can also press Page Up or Page Down keyboard button, and if your are using a wheel mouse, roll a wheel while Shift key is pressed to move to the next or previous viewpoint
Movement
Cortona offers three main navigation modes: Walk, Fly, and Study. You can switch the navigation mode by clicking buttons on the vertical toolbar.
Each navigation mode may have several options: Plan, Pan, Turn and Roll. The combination of navigation mode and its option determine the possible camera motion and its orientation.

a list of possible combinations.
Once the appropriate navigation mode and option is chosen you can navigate with the mouse, the keyboard, or both mouse and keyboard.
To navigate using the mouse choose navigation mode, position the pointer anywhere in the 3D window and press the left mouse button and then move the mouse while holding down its left button.
The direction in which you drag the mouse determines the camera motion. To accelerate the camera's movement or rotation, press SHIFT, CTRL or SHIFT+CTRL.
Restore, Fit and Align
In case you get lost during navigation you can use Restore, Fit or Align commands from horizontal toolbar.
You can use Restore to automatically return to the model's original active viewpoint, Fit to make the scene view fully
visible in the 3D window and Align will position camera's horizontal and longitudinal axes parallel to the models horizontal plane.
