Navigation in Cosmo Player

Cosmo Player browser consists of a control dashboard and 3D model display window above it.

Whilst 3D window contains the model, you can use the dashboard to change the way you move and examine the model. The dashboard displays two sets of commands, and you can toggle between the modes with Change control lever. When the dashboard is in movement mode we can use Go (moving in any direction), Slide (sliding straight up and down or right or left.), and Tilt (look up or down or from side to side) commands.

If at any point you feel you have made a bad move, you can use Undo Move and Redo Move buttons to retrace your steps.

In order to use any of the modes, we need to click appropriate button and proceed to move by directing the mouse. Once a control has been clicked it stays selected until another mode is chosen.

When working in examine mode (fig.2.) we can Zoom (click and then drag up to zoom in or drag down to zoom out), Rotate (click and then drag to rotate an object) and Pan (click and then drag to pan right, left, up, or down).

Navigation with move and examine commands can be difficult and to make navigation easier we can use Seek button. Once activated you can click on the object in a model you are interested in and Cosmo Player will move you directly there.

Alternatively, viewpoint controls are located on the left hand side of the Cosmo Player dashboard (see fig.1.) in both examine and move mode. You can move from one viewpoint to another by choosing from the drop-down Viewpoint list or clicking the Next Viewpoint or Previous Viewpoint button.

More information on on navigation can be found on Cosmo Player web-site.
