Ten Minutes in a Coal Mine

We think this photograph album, complete with captions, was made by a miner in 1940, perhaps as an evening class project. The title page contains the names A Paxton and J A Biggs. The album was donated to Woodhorn Colliery Museum in 1994 by Mrs Turnbull of Middlesbrough. If you know any more about it, please get in touch by e-mailing archaeology@northumberland.gov.uk.

This electronic version is an exact duplicate of the real album, now part of the Woodhorn archive at the Woodhorn Colliery Museum.
