Low Hauxley Archive: Cist 1 - Cover stone

The cist was capped by a slab of sandstone, 0.15m thick, which overlapped the edges of cist by about 0.2m on all sides. On top of this slab was a layer of sandstone slab fragments, which you can see in this photograph.
