Glazed jug reconstruction

This one-handled flagon with a red-brown glaze effect has been reconstructed from sherds found during excavations. Certain pieces of a pot or jug can tell us much about its shape and size (for example the rim, base and handle) and for this reason are known as �diagnostic sherds�.
