"Fillers come in, and here's an interesting thing... (At that time, you were fighting for every penny) The fillers came in, now, it was a rule, every yard you had to put a (once you'd filled the coal off), you had to put two props and a plank...You know I was telling you about the height, the ideal height? It was about two foot nine. He would put the plank on their shoulder, a steel plank. He would put a prop in there. And a prop, funnily enough, he would just lie it slightly, on the end of the plank. And there was a reason for that. You had to leave this track�."
