Dams and Reservoirs

Dams and reservoirs provided the waterpower necessary for mining and smelting operations. The miners would construct the dams high on the hillside collecting water which would allow them to breach the dams to allow the mass of water to flow down the hillside and expose lead veins or to provide the power for the waterwheels.
