Copper Alloy Buckles
The buckles found at Thrislington were quite corroded, having been in the ground for centuries, but they show up well on X-rays and
were successfully restored by conservators.
These two buckles were fairly small, merely 2 or 3 cm high, and were probably used to fasten small leather straps.
