Thrislington Chapel

Although the chapel will have been used primarily by the lord and his family, villagers will have been allowed infrequent access. In particular the sick were often looked after in churches: a coroner's document of 1328 tells us that Gilbert the miner was brought to the chapel after he fell into a pit. He died there shortly thereafter.

From here you can explore the interior of the chapel, or learn more about Gilbert and see the manuscript.
