Purse Frame

This metal object is part of the frame for a purse that might have been used by a man or a woman and was part of the everyday costume at this time. The purse fabric would have been suspended from the horizontal bar, and probably closed with a tie of some kind.

See the other example of metal purse frame found on site or have a look at the purse reconstruction.
