Musicians' Gallery

This image shows a medieval fiddle in the musicians' gallery. The gallery itself was a raised area at the end of the hall opposite the dais, above the wooden curtain wall that would have separated the main hall from the kitchen and west wing of the house.

We can't be sure that the Thrislington manor had a gallery like this, but it is possible.

See the other image of the hall taken from the musicians' gallery. From this point you can view a reconstruction of a medieval instrument, Or have a closer look at the lord's dais.

You can also see and hear reenactment of medieval music.
