Wark Castle: Letter from Lord Dacre to Cardinal Wolsey, 1517

Lord Thomas Dacre wrote this letter to Cardinal Wolsey whilst at Harbottle in Northumberland on 21st June 1517. It gives details of the repairs needed to castles on the borders of England with Scotland. The letter is held in the British Library manuscript collection and is indexed as Cotton Caligula B II, f347 and f347v.
