Rispey Iron Stone Mine
Ironstone was both quarried and mined in the Rookhope Valley. This mine produced an iron ore called siderite or
white iron. This is one of the two main types of iron ore produced by Rookhope mines and quarries for smelting in
the blast furnaces at Tow Law.
